Is serving at church more important than volunteering outside the church? Is it more God-pleasing? Is there a difference between volunteering and serving?

Little by little, step by step, we can 'better' our serving. It flows from being a disciple of Jesus and it's covered by his grace. It's needed--and noticed!--by the world around us.
The more we talk about the 'doing' of church volunteering and everyday serving, the more I love this reminder from "Do God's Will, Not His Work" that it's all grace!

Reflection: Courage When Waiting

Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord! Psalm 31:24
We often find ourselves in ‘wait’ mode–waiting for relief from illness or fears or loneliness or crushing problems. The frail elderly may simply be waiting for death. But waiting is passive, so why does the psalm, above, tell us to “take courage” while we wait? Read more.
