Serving in Business

This post was written specifically for the members of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Another St. Peter member has earned a Volunteer of the Year award!

Rich Eisenhuth, a residential mortgage consultant at HomeTrust Mortgage, was recently voted Volunteer of the Year by the Schaumburg Business Association (SBA) for his work chairing their Ambassador Committee. This committee works closely with new SBA members, providing a warm welcome and personalized support. The group also organizes and hosts monthly SBA events with guest speakers.

Rich’s recognition provides a great example of serving in the workplace and the business community. Work is another of the many ‘neighborhoods’ in which we can join Jesus on his mission by getting to know our neighbors and doing good as opportunities arise. Rich, a lifelong St. Peter member, and his wife Susan are also active St. Peter volunteers.

The Schaumburg Business Association was formed in 2001 to represent the needs of their business community. This community includes a dynamic blend of corporate, commercial, retail, service and industrial businesses in the largest suburban economic center in the State of Illinois. Their annual Volunteer of the Year award is given to an individual who has put their voluntary time, effort and dedication into their organization.

Other recent Volunteers of the Year in the St. Peter family include Marilyn Herrmann, from The Lutheran Home, and Cheryl Bokelmann from Journeys/The Road Home.
